Process Theories
Process Theories - Theories of the process determine how and by what purposes individuals are motivated. According to this view, the needs are only one element of the process by which the people decide how to proceed. For example, people can see a good chance of obtaining a reward (eg pay increases), if they act in a certain way (eg, work hard). This award will provide encouragement and motivation of their behavior.
The theory of the process of motivation is the concept of expectations, that is what a person expects a result of its behavior. For example, if it provides that the deadline would bring her praise of his superiors, and failure - of their discontent, and if the person prefers praise, it will be motivated to ensure timely execution of tasks. On the contrary, if the person provides deadline will not commendable, may not feel motivated to do so.
